Itinerary


Arriving at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel in the city centre. After checking in, you’ll be free for a preliminary wander around District 1. Your overnight will be in Ho Chi Minh City.

After breakfast, your guide will arrive to show you around Ho Chi Minh City. You’ll visit the Reunification Hall – an early colonial masterpiece constructed to accommodate the Governor –general of Indochina. The Museum of War Remnants provides a very partial, but riveting, perspective of the ‘American War’: not for the squeamish! The Binh Tay market and the China Town are worth a stroll to explore the local daily life and the culture mix.

After lunch, you’ll also call in at the Jade Emperor Temple. It’s one of the best Taoist temples in Vietnam, with superb effigies, remarkable carved panels of the descent to Hell and somewhat incongruous terrapin and tortoise sanctuaries. You’ll then return your hotel for freshen up or wander around the huge Ben Thanh market, one of the liveliest areas of Ho Chi Minh City, is packed with every conceivable commodity. You’ll spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.

Early in the morning, your guide will meet you at your hotel’s lobby and bring you by car to your boat at Tan Cang pier. Shortly after, you’ll depart Saigon by speedboat. As you glide along the river, the landscape quickly transforms from city sprawl to lush jungle. While you enjoy a light breakfast of sandwiches or pastries, fresh tropical fruits, and Vietnamese iced coffee (Ca phe sua da), your guide will share insights into rural traditions and riverbank life.

Upon arriving at the Cu Chi Tunnels site, you’ll have the opportunity to watch a brief introductory ‘propaganda’ video about the Cu Chi area. Then, you’ll explore the tunnel site, which includes exhibitions of weapons and booby traps, navigating through authentic Viet Cong tunnels, and visiting different underground bunkers such as kitchens, meeting rooms, and ammunition stores. You can even try the local cassava root that sustained Viet Cong fighters for years.

After exploring the tunnels, you’ll enjoy a delicious traditional Vietnamese lunch by the river, featuring authentic fried spring rolls, chicken and beef dishes, and soup. Following lunch, you’ll bid farewell to the Cu Chi Tunnel and return to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival at Tan Cang’s pier, Les Rives staff will take you back to your hotel by car. You’l have the rest of afternoon free to spend as you wish.

In the evening, at 18.00, you’ll have tickets for A O show. The name ‘A O’ derives from ‘Lang Pho’, which means ‘village and city’. The show depicts the charming beauty and cultural richness of Vietnamese life in the countryside, in contrast with the nation’s racing urbanization. The show is a unique mix of bamboo circus, acrobatic acts, dance, and theatrical visual art. The live music echoes Vietnamese Southern work songs. All in all, this beautiful blend of genres creates a unique stage language, which well captures the essence of Vietnam’s fascinating culture. You’ll spend the night in Ho Chi Minh City.

After escaping from Ho Chi Minh City’s urban sprawl, you’ll travel to Ben Tre.

11:30 Arrive at Mango Home Riverside, you will board your Mango cruise boat at Mango Home pier and head to An Hoa River. Enjoy your welcome drink and peaceful scenery while crew members board your luggage.  The cruise will take you to Phong Nam village in Giong Trom, where you will take a rowing sampan boat through the small canals, which are covered green by the water coconut plants.

Stop at a local house to taste the tropical fruits and chat with the farmer. Visit the coconut spirit factory before starting your bike or rickshaw trip around the village. Relax and enjoy lunch at Mango Restaurant before getting back on the boat and continuing to cruise to Mo Cay canals. Stop for a visit at the coconut processing workshop where you can see how the locals utilize every bit of the coconut.

Continue cruising to Vung Liem province and stop for a visit at the brick making factory.  Here you will see how bricks are made using traditional methods, which are centuries old.

Return to your boat and freshen up for your cooking demonstration and dinner on board.  The rest of the evening will be spent at your leisure.

Overnight will be spent onboard on the Co Chien River.

In the morning, breakfast will be served on board before starting to explore the town of Vung Liem by bicycle. Visit the Happy Buddha Temple, a beautiful and characteristic Khmer Temple of this small town.  After that continue on to visit the Cao Dai Temple in one of the most popular local religions, which is a combination of Taoism, Buddhism and Confusium.

After that get back to the cruise and refresh, check out and you will transfer to Vung Liem Market at 10.00 where you’ll be met by your driver, who will take you to Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City for an evening flight to Danang. When you arrive, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel in Hoi An to check in. You’ll spend the night in Hoi An.

After breakfast, you’ll have free morning to spend in Hoi An as you wish.

In the afternoon, your guide will mfeet you to show you the Ancient Town and explain its considerable significance in the history of Vietnam. You’ll spend the night in Hoi An.

The day starts with cycling the narrow roads through the countryside, passing by rice paddy fields, water buffalos, bamboo bridges and local farmers on their daily work. You’ll then board a boat to the mouth of the Thu Bon estuary where the river meets the Cua Dai Sea and cruise along the coastline observing the lives of the local fishermen. After joining the fisherman to try your hand at catching fish in a traditional ‘Thung Chai’ basket boat, you will meander through the water palm coconut canal. During the American War, Viet Cong soldiers made use of this area as a highly effective hiding place from enemy attacks through their long struggle. Following an insightful visit to a local fishing village, you’ll be free to relax and enjoy a lunch before cycling back to your hotel. You’ll spend the night in Hoi An.

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up at your hotel to start the journey to visit Ba Na Hills, also known as the second Da Lat, a fascinating entertainment and tourism complex in Central Vietnam. You’ll be transported to the peak by a cable car system that holds four World Records (longest one-wire sling, longest distance between stations, longest unpatched wire, and heaviest cable roll). You’ll admire the epic view and enjoy the fresh air. After that, you’ll explore the Golden Bridge, which sits 1,400 meters above sea level, creating the illusion of a silk strip hiding in the clouds above Da Nang. This bridge serves as a special transit stop to deliver visitors to Le Jardin D’Amour (the Flower Garden of Love). You’ll visit Linh Ung Pagoda, with its 27-meter tall Shakyamuni statue, bringing you a peaceful feeling. Enjoy the panoramic view of Danang city.

You’ll continue exploring the French Village, considered a miniature Europe and keep your mind at peace as you visit the spiritual places in Ba Na, such as the Bell Tower and temples on the top of the hill. From this area, all the sceneries of the French Village are in front of your eyes.

You’ll take a rest and have a buffet lunch at a restaurant. After lunch, experience many thrilling rides and games such as the slide-way (Alpine coaster), love wheel, fire race, and ghost house in Fantasy Park, a world-class indoor amusement park. You’ll enjoy Fantasy Park by walking in the Fairy Forest, discovering Dinosaur Park, playing 5D Wild West, enjoying the 4D Death Race ride, and watching the 3D Mega 360 degrees movie.

Finally, say goodbye to Ba Na and return by cable car down the hills, followed by a drop-off in Danang airport for an evening flight to Hanoi.

Arriving at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel. You’ll have time to relax after your journey. You’ll spend the night in Hanoi.

You’ll have the whole day to explore Vietnam’s capital city. Your guide will take you to the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam dating back to the 11th century, and a popular attraction, as is Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his simple stilt house where he lived and wworked, and the museum dedicated to his memory.

After lunch, you’ll drive to the excellent Ethnology Museum for an overview of Vietnam’s 54 distinct ethnic groups. Then you’ll visit Hoa Lo Prison – better known by captured US pilots as the ‘Hanoi Hilton’. You’ll also visit Hanoi Train Street, one of the most famous and adventurous tourist spots in Hanoi. This narrow street, hidden in one of Hanoi’s back alleys, is flanked by tall, closely packed houses. The railway, which runs through the backyards of these homes, sees trains passing by a few times each day. The bustling Old Quarter is a magnet for visitors, it’s noisy and hectic, but definitely a ‘must-see’ attraction. The Old Quarter is a maze of shopping streets and restaurants with a hotchpotch of architecture – traditional tube houses, religious buildings, artisfans’ workshops and cottages, colonial houses and modern concrete edifices. You’ll spend the night in Hanoi.

After an early breakfast at hotel, at 07:00, you’ll be picked up by Limousine bus to Sapa. Arriving around 12:30, you’ll enjoy lunch and check in to your hotel. Afterward, you’ll be picked up and taken to the cable car station to experience a ride that offers indescribable sensations. From the cable car, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Fansipan, hidden under clouds and surrounded by the lush forests of the romantic town of Sapa, with its charming ancient villas and Western-style architecture.

Later, you’ll visit Thac Bac Waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Vietnam. Its cascading waters, shimmering like silver, have earned it the romantic name “Silver Waterfall.” Afterward, you’ll return to Sapa for your overnight accommodation.

In the morning, after your breakfast, we walk from Sapa to Xa Seng village up to the mountains Then we continue to Giang Ta Chai village, home to Black Hmong en Red Dao people. On the way we stop at a local restaurant for lunch.  In the afternoon we come down to Su Pan village of Black Hmong and Red Dzao. This is also where Sapa Farmstay is located. There you stay in your own private bungalow with mountain view. Relax in the pool with mountains views. You’ll spend the night a mountain bungalow.

In the morning after a good breakfast, we start our trek again and walk around 3 hours more. We start by climbing the Tiger Mountain. There we walk in a beautiful forest, and pass some villages of Black Hmong people. We continue into the valley towards Thanh Kim village, home to the Red Dao people. There you can see one of most beautiful scenery with rice paddies. And a small river along the way. We prepare picnic lunch for you to have lunch in the mountains. We finish our tour in Thanh Kim village. From there we will arrange transport to go back to Sapa.

Your time will be your own until you’re picked up by car to return to to Sapa then to Lao Cai for the 21:30. overnight sleeper train back to Hanoi.

In the early morning, you’ll walk to a hotel near Hanoi railway station to freshen up before breakfast.

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up from your hotel to Ha Long Bay. After a comfortable drive, you’ll arrive at the Indochina Junk Office, where you can relax in the Waiting Lounge before transferring to the cruise.

A short electric car ride will bring you to the port, where you’ll be warmly welcomed aboard the Dragon Legend Cruise. The adventure begins with a refreshing welcome drink and a safety briefing.

As the cruise sets sail, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch while taking in the breathtaking views of Bai Tu Long Bay, with its fascinating rock formations. Your first stop is the well-hidden Thien Canh Son Cave, a natural marvel waiting to be explored.

Next, you’ll have the opportunity to relax on a white sandy beach at Hon Co Island or embark on a kayaking adventure to explore the limestone formations in the bay. Afterward, return to the junk to refresh and watch the sunset on board.

In the evening, you’ll join a Vietnamese cuisine cooking demonstration, learning how to make Banh Xeo, a traditional dish. As night falls, unwind with a peaceful and romantic dinner on the bay. After dinner, you can enjoy some leisure time, perhaps trying your hand at squid fishing, before retiring for the night on the Dragon Legend Cruise.

Begin your day with a refreshing Tai Chi demonstration on the sundeck, setting a peaceful tone for the morning. Afterward, enjoy a delightful breakfast served on the cruise, fueling you for the day’s activities.

Your first adventure takes you to Vung Vieng fishing village, where you’ll explore by a rustic rowboat. Here, you’ll have the chance to meet the local people, pass through the floating school, and see the fish farms that sustain the community.

After your visit to the village, return to the cruise for some relaxation and leisure time. As the cruise continues its journey, you’ll have the opportunity to check out, take some memorable photos, and admire the stunning limestone island scenery.

A delicious buffet will be served as you sail through the bay, providing a final taste of the culinary delights on board. As the cruise returns to the International Port of Ha Long, you’ll prepare for the drive back to Hanoi. You’ll spend the night in Hanoi.

After breakfast, you’ll be free until your driver arrives to take you to Noi Bai airport for your departure flight home. End of services.
