Itinerary

Arriving at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, you’ll be met and driven to your hotel. You’ll have time to relax after your journey. You’ll spend the night in Hanoi.

You’ll have the whole day to explore Vietnam’s capital city. Your guide will take you to the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam dating back to the 11th century, and a popular attraction, as is Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, his simple stilt house where he lived and wworked, and the museum dedicated to his memory.

After lunch, you’ll drive to the excellent Ethnology Museum for an overview of Vietnam’s 54 distinct ethnic groups. Then you’ll visit Hoa Lo Prison – better known by captured US pilots as the ‘Hanoi Hilton’. The bustling Old Quarter is a magnet for visitors, it’s noisy and hectic, but definitely a ‘must-see’ attraction. The Old Quarter is a maze of shopping streets and restaurants with a hotchpotch of architecture – traditional tube houses, religious buildings, artisfans’ workshops and cottages, colonial houses and modern concrete edifices.

In the evening, you’ll have tickets for a performance of traditional Water Puppetry (an art form unique to northern Vietnam, and a good, light-hearted introduction to its rural culture). You’ll spend the night in Hanoi.

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up to Thanh Lanh Valley Golf & Resort which is a Vietnam masterpiece of famous designer Sir Nick Faldo. Located at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level, Thanh Lanh Valley Golf & Resort has a cool climate all year round, with an average temperature of 18-25 degrees Celsius. Perfect golf conditions make the two-hour drive from Hanoi worth the effort. A bypass road connecting Tam Dao, Thanh Lanh, and Dai Lai golf areas makes several excellent golf clubs easily reachable.

You’ll enjoy a round of 18 holes. After golfing, you’ll be driven back to your hotel in Hanoi. You’ll spend the night in Hanoi.

Please note that the maximum number of golfers per group is 4.

After an early breakfast, you’ll leave for Ha Long Bay, one of the most spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Areas and the world’s largest marine limestone ‘karst’ landscape. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed at Capella Cruise Center on Tuan Chau International Port by our experienced staff. You’re guided to complete the check-in procedure at the waiting lounge before boarding for the cruise.

A tender boat will transfer you from the port to the cruise, where you’ll be greeted with a welcome drink. The Cruise Manager and crew will introduce you to the ship with a short briefing and a rundown of safety regulations.

Lunch is served at the Harmony of the Sea Restaurant as the cruise sets off towards Lan Ha Bay. You’ll be treated to spectacular views of limestone formations as you enjoy your meal. Later, the cruise anchors at Frog Lagoon, where you can take advantage of Capella’s wide array of entertainment options. Whether you choose to relax in the Infinity Oasis Pool and Jacuzzi, feel the adrenaline with the Inflatable Water Slide, swim in the emerald waters, or explore the landscape with a kayak or SUP, there’s something for everyone. You can even enjoy a round of mini-golf on the top deck.

As the day winds down, relax at the Spirit of the Sea Lounge or the Ocean Sky Sundeck with a refreshing drink, taking advantage of the “Buy 1, Get 1 Free” happy hour while watching the sunset over the bay. Afterward, join a fun cooking demonstration led by the cruise chefs, learning to prepare local dishes. Dinner is a gourmet affair, offering a fusion of cuisines at the Harmony of the Sea Restaurant as the nighttime beauty of the bay unfolds.

For evening entertainment, immerse yourself in music at the Spirit of the Sea Lounge, try karaoke at the Sea Melody Theatre, challenge friends to a game of poker or board games in the Cigar & Poker Room, or join a night squid-fishing session. If you prefer a quiet night, simply relax on your balcony and watch as night falls over Ha Long and Lan Ha Bay. You’ll spend a peaceful night onboard in your luxurious Oasis Suite.

Start your day with a Tai-chi class on the deck, embracing the fresh energy of the morning while watching the sunrise at the Ocean Sky Sundeck. Afterward, enjoy a light breakfast at the Harmony of the Sea Restaurant.

The adventure continues as you visit the Dark & Bright Cave, where you’ll be guided through the serene landscape in traditional bamboo rowing boats. As you cruise towards Bright Cave, you’ll witness a unique passageway that opens at water level, leading to a peaceful, round lake encircled by lush trees and towering stone cliffs.

After the cave excursion, return to the Capella Cruise, where you can relax in your cabin and gather your belongings before checking out. A delicious brunch awaits at the Harmony of the Sea Restaurant as the cruise sails back toward the port.

Once back at Tuan Chau International Port, a tender boat will take you to shore, where you’ll be picked up to your hotel in Ha Long City. You’ll spend the night in Ha Long.

Today, you’ll play at the FLC Ha Long Bay course. Located just twenty minutes from Ha Long City and three hours from Hanoi, this 18-hole championship course, designed by Schmidt-Curley, offers stunning ocean views over the UNESCO World Heritage site. Perched above the old town of Ha Long Bay, the course overlooks the breathtaking limestone karsts that define the bay. The dramatic terrain provides a striking contrast to the sandy dunes typical of coastal Vietnamese golf courses.

After golfing, you’ll be driven back to your hotel in Hanoi. You’ll spend the night in Hanoi.

Please note that the maximum number of golfers per group is 4.

After breakfast, your driver will take you to Phoenix Golf Resort which is located 40 kilometers north of Hanoi in an area called ‘Halong Bay on Land.’  The view from the course and clubhouse is spectacular as the limestone outcroppings which frame and come into play on many of the holes resemble those most people only expect to see in the famous Halong Bay. Designed by Ronald Fream, each of the three courses at Phoenix makes use of severe fairway and green undulations as well as intelligent routing through and around the unique-looking limestone cliffs. Additional Japanese and Korean design inputs ensure that the surrounding environment is both well protected and stunning at the same time.

After golfing, you’ll be driven back to your hotel in Hanoi. You’ll spend the night in Hanoi.

Please note that the maximum number of golfers per group is 4.

After breakfast, you’ll be free until your driver arrives to take you to Noi Bai airport for your departure flight home. End of services.
